Great list (and between that, your horror list and the comments, a lot of what I would usually have recommended has been covered). A few I'd add just off the top of my head:

Rust and Bone - Jacques Audiard

Vanishing Waves - Kristina Buozyte

Habit - Larry Fessenden

Black Book - Paul Verhoeven

Lifeforce - Tobe Hooper

28 Hotel Rooms - Matt Ross

The Hot Spot - Dennis Hopper

Henry & June - Philip Kaufman

From Beyond - Stuart Gordon

I'd like to mention Shame and second that vote for Henry and June. Hunger and Blue Velvet (have some personal experiences regarding an extra in this film) are two of my faves too.

Excellent choix. I concur. Hope you managed to watch The Handmaiden in the mean time. It’s an awesome one.

Still "Henry & June" is one of the most underrated erotic films at all. May not be historically accurate, but it captured the spirit of Henry Miller, Anais Nin and Paris well.

"Tokyo Decadence" is a crazy masterpiece (at least the first half of the movie)

"In the realm of senses" - of course.

"The last tango in Paris" - although it is very questionable to still consider this film erotic today when you know that Maria Schneider was actually raped in front of the camera...

"Immoral Tales" by Walerian Borowczyk. A try to bring some poetry into sex and film.

"Story of O" by Just Jaeckin. Of course the book is better ( ;) )...

"Lie with Me" by Clément Virgo.

"Sex and Lucía" by Julio Medem.

"Y tu mamá también" by Alfonso Cuarón.

"Shortbus" by John Cameron Mitchell. One of the few erotic movies with a little humor...

"Ken Park" by Larry Clark. Sometimes really hard to watch...

"L’Apollonide (Souvenirs de la maison close)" by Bertrand Bonello.

And finally a real gem for romantic lovers:

"Castillos de cartón" by Salvador García Ruiz.

While I would not call it a favorite, The Lair of the White Worm was fun and so deliberately campy and certainly deserves to be on the list.

Body Heat and Altered States are possibilities, but the latter is I think a great example of a film that does not age well. Not sure if this will make sense to anyone, but any film set in a particular point in time needs to do it's best to portray it from that time's perspective, because if made from a contemporary view of that time, it can be great when released but distractingly disjointed when watched much later. There are of course exceptions, but I fall back on this reasoning when I watch a film that I loved upon release but which disappoints me years later.

I'd give honorable mention to The Hidden (1987), if only for the scene where the alien of such intense hungers finds itself aroused at inhabiting the body of Claudia Christian's character.

I appreciate your listings dear but I really feel like you should have thrown more light on how to access these movies via the net...

Thanks so much

I thought Under the Skin was as very erotic film. I loved it. The whole underlying lesson was delivered tastefully and seductively .
