5 films about love & crime
I appreciate your thoughtful takes on these movies. Well done!
No Thelma and Louise?
True Romance is one of my all time top movies, it is true romance!
Love & a .45
True Romance is an old favorite, and yes the Oldman role kills, but falling in love hookers is bad practice.
Get Miami Blues on there
One of my favorite subgenres
That's a pukka list right there. Some classics.
What a feast! love your newsletter... :)
Tell me Twister just missed the cut.
Good choices.
Have you seen The Night Porter (1974) directed by Liliana Cavani, with Dirk Bogarde and Charlotte Rampling, A bit offbeat but I think it is right up your alley.
Sailor you find me somethin' on that radio right now!
Not movies, but two good depictions
come to mind:
- Dog of the South, by Charles Portis. (More funny than dark)
- Nebraska. Title track from the album of the same name by Springsteen (about as dark as it gets on the theme)
Absolutely incredible!
